TILT: Library Cats in Book Posters

Cats and books just sort of go together, don't you think? I mean, yes, sometimes a dog will cuddle up with you, but cats are like velcro to laps lol. Well, mine is anyway. So I thought I'd dedicate this week's Things I Love Thursday to kitty librarians, because I really want that to be a thing! :)

TILT: Book Posters: Cat Edition

Today's Things I Love Thursday combines two of my favorite things: books and cats. Wait, three things: book posters! :) My cat loves to sit in my lap right when I start reading. If it's a big book, he wants to lay ON the book. And always wants to smell it and rub on it. Le sigh. Good thing he's so cute. Evidence of cuteness and annoyingness:

The Literary Cat by VintageArtPrint --always love me a good dictionary print. I wonder if eventually people will run out of dictionaries and start using something else..the phone book maybe? Nobody uses those anyway.

Black Cat Lucky 13 by Strawberryluna --I love this little mod kitty. If he was in teal, I would snap him up right now. Actually, I might anyway. :)

Special Throw-Back Sunday Poem: "Yo Quiero Una Gata"

My senior year of high school, I decided I wanted a cat. Really, really bad. We'd had dogs before, but I wanted a cat. So, to convince my parents to get me one, I decided to write a poem. In Spanish. And, hey, it worked! :) I got my KuKu kitty a few weeks later and then we got two more cats in the subsequent years...turns out my whole family loved cats too. Now, as always, I'm not saying this poem is any good lol...but that's what makes it fun. Hopefully. Enjoy! (This was really hard to type in Spanish btw!)

Yo quiero una gata.
Una vaca gata
con los ojos verdes.
Yo quiero una gata.
Una negra gata
con se llama "Mojo".

Una bonita gata
con largo pelo.

TILT: Book Cats!

I was going to do my Things I Love Thursday with all pets and books, but it turns out dogs don't really read that much lol. I guess they're too busy catching up on TextFromDog. (I love that site!) Cats are obviously much more into books, as seen here...especially my own cat, Binks, who loooooves to get right up in my lap when I'm reading a big, heavy book lol. (He's the orange & white rubbing on the BSC book, naturally.) Do you have a bookish pet? I'd love to see pictures of them! Are dogs actually literate? Send me proof! :)
