TTT: 10 Books I Would Buy Right NOW!

Oh man, another great topic on The Broke & The Bookish for Top Ten Tuesday! You've got a fully loaded gift card, no strings attached, and can only buy books. What will you buy? For me, it would be a lot of beautiful classics and sets, plus a few randoms thrown in. And writing this post has made me really want to start collecting these for real!

1. Harry Potter --I own the regular US hardbound set already, but of course I could use want more! I really like this set in the trunk but I love them all really. I definitely want the next illustrated edition, my sister bought me the first for Christmas last year, so I hope she gets the hint that she has to keep buying them as they come out lol.

2. Anne of Green Gables --I own the paperback set thanks to my dad & stepmom, but there are sooooo many beautiful editions out there, it's hard not to want them all! I mean, just look at this gorgeous set by Jacqui Oakley! ModernMrsDarcy did a great job of gathering up some of the beauties for us, you should check it out!

3. Jane Austen set --I've got almost all the books but they're all used, random copies I've picked up. I'd love to have a full matching set. This one by Penguin is perfect, although I don't think it's all of her books? I would hate to have only half of them in that type and others in another, you know what I mean? Also, JuniperBooks kills it with the beautiful sets!!
4. On the JuniperBooks note, I NEED the Penguin Drop Caps series. I mean really, how amazing would that look on my bookshelf?? And so many wonderful titles included.

5. I also found this Puffin Children's Classics set that's lovely. I'm going to need more room for my classics.

6. John Steinbeck --I couldn't find a specific set that I liked, which made me sad. But I really, really, really want a matching set of his books. I mean, he's my new favorite author and his books are starting to feel like home to me, so I can't have these ragtag miscreant copies laying around lol.

7. The Ghost Bird Academy series by CL Stone --I know I've mentioned in passing how much I love this series, but really it is so, so good. And weird, a little weird. But good weird. I read the first book in March 2014 and since then, I've read it 5 times! I have them all on my Kindle but I'd really like the paperback copies too.

8. Delirium's Party: A Little Endless Storybook by Jill Thompson --(we're getting into the random books now) I love Neil Gaiman's Sandman but even more, I love the Little Endless. They are just so adorable and serious and sweet and Delirium is my favorite. I have the first one but I never bought the second.

9. On that same note, I'd also get the rest of the Absolute Sandman sets I need. I have the first 2 and they are gorgeous and big but there are 5 total and I don't have that kind of extra money usually.

10.Clubbing, Burnout, & Water Baby graphic novels to complete my Minx Comics set --unfortunately, this line of graphic novels geared towards younger girls didn't last very long but it put out some really great stories. My favorite is probably The Plain Janes but I liked them all and just need these last 3 to complete my set.

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books I Didn't Get to in 2014

Today's The Broke & The Bookish Top Ten Tuesday topic (say that sentence 5 times fast!) got me thinking. I still haven't done any kind of year in review post or really even looked at my stats yet. Maybe I'll get to that this weekend. Until then, let's talk about the books I didn't get to in 2014! Take a look at my list and tell me what needs to be pushed to the top and what needs to be added. :)

1. Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5) by Richelle Mead -I have this one but have been waiting for it to be a little closer to the release of #6 (the last one!) because I know I will want to binge read them.

2. The King (Black Dagger Brotherhood #12) by JR Ward -I'm actually 2 books behind in this series boo!

3. The Darkest Touch (Lords of the Underworld #11) by Gena Showalter -arg, I'm 2 books behind in this series too! I need to catch up on my bad boy supernatural books!

4. Rooms by Lauren Oliver -I wanted to read this around Halloween but it was too new for my library to have yet.

5. Undivided (Unwind #4) by Neal Shusterman -I actually forgot this one was coming out. Adding to my list right now! :)

6. We Were Liars by E Lockhart -I have heard so much about this (and yet, really nothing at all lol) and really want to read it!

7. What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick -I really loved My Life Next Door, so I'm ready to try anything by this author!

8. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira -I don't remember where I heard of this one, but it looks so interesting! And exactly like something Teenage Jenn would do. :)

9. This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki -I just purchased this one with my Christmas gc, but I think I might wait until actual summer to read it.

10.Alpha & Omega (Locke & Key #6) by Joe Hill -I had to wait until the final arc came out in paperback, so it would match the rest. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does that!?

(pic by me, book is "The Academy" by CL Stone: highly recommend!!)

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books On My Spring To-Buy & To-Read List

I'm going to do the Top 10 of my To-Buy and To-Read list today...thanks to The Broke & Bookish for this weeks list! :)

Let's start with to-buy and I'm going to limit this to just future releases because if I don't, it would be like my Top 52 or something lol. (I just checked and it's actually 51...am I good or what?)

1. Spell Bound: Hex Hall #3 by Rachel Hawkins: technically I need to buy 2 and 3; I read 1 and enjoyed it but wasn't sure if I would read the other 2. After hearing all the hype though, I think I want to.
2. Lover Reborn: Black Dagger Brotherhood #10 by JR Ward: mmmm....I devour these books when they come out! I can't wait for Tohr's story.
3. Uglies: Shay's Story Graphic Novel by Scott Westerfield: I'm really excited about this fresh take on the Uglies series and seeing it in graphic novel form!
4. Bitterblue: The Seven Kingdoms #3 by Kristin Cashore: isn't this on everyone's list?? OMG I can't wait lol...
5. Black Dawn: The Morganville Vampires #12 by Rachel Caine: oooh....I didn't know there was a new one already! I have to read the last one still!
6. Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson: the first non-series book on my list lol...
7. What Happened to Hannah by Mary Kay McComas: looks interesting.
8. The Boy on Cinnamon Street by Phoebe Stone: looks similar to Lola & The Boy Next Door maybe? Which I looooved and will be reviewing soon. :)
9. I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella: hmm...she usually does best sticking to the Shopaholic series, but this one looks pretty cute.
10. Where It Began by Ann Redisch Stampler: Oooh...a mystery. :)

And on my to-read list...meaning I already have them and what the heck am I waiting for??

1. Lover Unleashed: Black Dagger Brotherhood #9 by JR Ward
2. The White Queen by Philippa Gregory
3. Ghost Town: Morganville Vampires #9 by Rachel Caine
4. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
5. Destined: House of Night #9 by PC Cast
6. Extra: Uglies #4 by Scott Westerfield: I think this is going to be my next one so I can review the series as a whole.
7. Hunger: Gone #2 by Michael Grant: these books are surprisingly hard to find at Half Price, I ended up buying it new recently at B&N.
8. The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen
9. The Princess Bride by William Goldman: I've seen the movie a long time ago but never read the book and the awesome Mark of Mark Does Stuff is going to start reading it next week and I want to read it along with him. :)
10.My last to-read is an unknown...I need to pick a classic for April but I'm not sure what I want to go for yet. Any suggestions? Does Princess Bride count? No? Darn.

All I Want For Christmas Is....

....books books books books. :) A sort of continuation of yesterday's post, in which I share with you some of the books that I am hoping to get this year for Christmas! A nice, pretty little mosaic taken straight from my Goodreads Wishlist, just in case you want to go check them out in more detail or, you know, buy me one as a gift! Lol...

There are a lot on here that I've already read, but checked out from the library or something and now I want a copy of them. Like The Doll People series by Ann M Martin, which was the first book I reviewed on here! :) And The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, that I borrowed from my dad and loved.

And then there are all the new ones for series that I already read, like the newest Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward (yum!) and Pretty Little Liars.

And of course, new to me that I've had recommended or just saw... Maze Runner and Lola & The Boy Next Door. Oooh...and a couple of craft books, like The Repurposed Library! I hope I get at least a few of these books. :)
