Bookish Tote Bag by BonnieBruno --if you were one of the lucky ones who got to go to BEA recently, I'm sure you are all tote bagged out (so you could get the pillow instead). But for the rest of us, this is the perfect bag to take to the library or used bookstore!

TILT: Book Nerds Get Naughty!

I haven't done a Things I Love Thursday in forever-ever and I miss it! Did you miss it? Did you even know I did this? Lol...well, now you do! This is a (usually) weekly feature of some of the fun and usually bookish things I've found on the interwebs that I want to share with you. I'll always include a link, as long as I can find it, to the original site/person and if they want to be removed, I will immediately do so. And I always want to hear about what you're loving this week, so comment below or send me a link! Maybe eventually I'll try to do a link chain? That would be fun.

So! This week I thought we'd get a bit naughty. But just a smidge, because I don't want to have to get the censor bars out. ;) Just because we're book nerds doesn't mean we can't have a little fun too. Also, how do you feel about the term "nerd"? Do you prefer "geek"? I tend to think of "dork" as too negative, myself.

I decided it was time to do another fan art Things I Love Thursday, but I had a really hard time picking some. So these are kind of all over the place. I'm slowly gathering up artwork to hang over my bookshelf...I'd like to have all different kinds of work but all book/reading related. I just got Terry Moore's 2013 Sketchbook in the mail the other day and I am going to frame the cover for sure. (I just wish the pages weren't two-sided! :/) Do you have any bookish art? Or fan art? I'd love to see it!

Kavalier & Clay by Anna Rettberg --I kind of like that my mosaic cut off his head lol. But the full piece is very nice, I think she perfectly captured their attitudes. You should also check out the rest of her work, super cool stuff there!

Tris & Four (Divergent) by ??? --I couldn't find the source for this one, which I hate, so if you know the artist, please comment! I'm really excited about this movie and I really need to go get the 2nd book soon augh!! :) (And now it looks like Tris is trying shoot Sam Clay in the head!)

Peeta vs Gale by ApricotTeacup --this just makes me laugh. And Catching Fire is another movie I can't wait for. I think I'm going to do a quick reread of all 3 after I finish Harry Potter for the summer, to prepare for the movie. I've only read these once in 2010 when the Mockingjay craze was going on, so I think I'm overdue for a reread!

Skeleton Keys at Homegoods --I saw these on Pinterest first and loooooved them because I am obsessed with skeleton keys and then my sister & I were at Homegoods looking for a birthday present and I saw them there! I may have squee'd ;) But alas, I did not have any extra money to buy them and they'll probably be gone next time we go in. Curse you, Homegoods, and your revolving door of merchandise!!

A Book's Heart by BeautyOfHeart --I love the cascading effect on these. They would be fun to make yourself too. I would probably shellac them or something to make them stiff and more sturdy.

Mermaids on LuxeYard --sold out right now, but you could probably make a similar version yourself with some thrift store finds. Epbot has a wonderful tutorial on how to paint that aged, under-the-sea look yourself.

Today's Things I Love Thursday combines two of my favorite things: books and cats. Wait, three things: book posters! :) My cat loves to sit in my lap right when I start reading. Yes, I know they don't really go together and it's kind of an odd thing to love, but hey, I'm kind of odd. :) I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to them too, if you're interested!
